"At Ovens Auditorium, my spouse and I eagerly anticipated a 'date night' with some 'grown-folk's music' from Chevelle, as members of the over 40 crowd.
After arriving just past 8 PM for the 9 PM show, we were kept waiting for over 45 minutes before finally being allowed to sit in the auditorium. My spouse, exhausted and with aching ankles from standing (no seating outside the auditorium) in 3-inch heels, was disappointed.
I was disheartened to find the auditorium only half full, and during intermission, attendees from the balcony were offered floor seats to fill the empty ones. While I had paid considerably more for floor seats, they got a better deal.
The opening acts were the real letdown.
Chevelle, as an artist, did not disappoint, aside from the brevity of the show. Although he has many hits (which I own), he substituted some with hits by others."
